OUR MISSION
Here at Cowboy Heaven Miniature Horse Haven, we are driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the world a better place for our animal friends; to rescue animals from abuse and neglect, as well as a home (temporary or permanent) from referrals such as law enforcement, veterinarians, and other rescues. Also to help educate about miniature horses.
HOW YOUR DONATIONS HELP THE ANIMALS
Here at Cowboy Heaven we strive to provide the best opportunity for our animals. Through the help of your donations, we can provide relocation and re-homing, veterinary care, and education. We are a self funded 501c3 non profit and donations/sponsorships are vital and essential in helping the "wee ones". Operating costs for Cowboy Heaven come to $30,000+ and sometimes can exceed that with emergency veterinary care and shelter repair. View a breakdown of our expenditures in our Donation page.
RE-HOME AND RELOCATE
At Cowboy Heaven, it is our goal to work closely with animal shelters, law enforcement, and others in order to find these animals and help find them good homes where they can enjoy life.
In the time between finding a new home, and perhaps never finding one, they'll come to live at Cowboy Heaven and be allowed to live their best life.
VETERINARY CARE
Here at Cowboy Heaven we often come across animals with debilitating injuries, injuries that are due to neglect, abuse, or sometimes by accidents or families that cannot afford the costs associated with ownership of a miniature horse.
Miniature horses can have more medical maintenance than the average horse and as such many owners are not prepared for that financial burden. At Cowboy Heaven our goal is to take these animals in and provide them comfort and medical care, working closely with veterinarians, in order to make sure their medical needs are met.
We at Cowboy Heaven have worked with horses and miniature horses for many years, and have come to understand their needs. Re-homing and relocating cannot happen until education occurs, which is why at Cowboy Heaven we provide essential education on expected costs, needs, and care these animals require to live a full and happy life. No re-homing will be complete until our potential new homes can show a working knowledge and desire to learn how to keep these animals healthy and happy. Also, to educate others that want miniature horses.
